LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has formed three committees to crack down on those involved in the social media propaganda over alleged incidents in educational institutions. 

The agency has formed the committees on the directions of director general and they would investigate harassment of a student at the Lahore College for Women University, fake news involving a private college and a suicide incident at the Punjab University. 

According to FIA, coordination in the zonal office and cybercrimes would be done by AD Ayesha Agha Khan. 

There will be a seven-member team to identify and investigate the propagandists. It will be headed by Mohammad Sulaiman Liaquat, Deputy Director Immigration. 

A case has already been registered against those who spread fake news on social media. 

A six-member team has been formed to investigate the Punjab University incident which will be headed by Kashif Mustafa, Deputy Director Corporate Crime Circle. 

Meanwhile, a four-member team headed by Malik Sikandar Hayat, Deputy Director Commercial, will look into the case of the Lahore College for Women University.
