PTI files plea in SC for larger bench on intra-party election review case

Says ECP cant move in the court against party
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has filed a fresh application in the Supreme Court seeking formation of a five-member larger bench on intra-party election review case.
PTI in the application stated that the PTI intra-party election case was fixed for hearing on October 21. This case had an element of constitutional interpretation.
The PTI contended that formation of a bench for hearing constitutional objection was not legal.
It was mentioned that ECP couldn’t move the court against the party being an affected respondent in the case.
The PTI application had also mentioned the SC judgment on the reserved seats having observations on the conduct of ECP.
PTI requested in the application to form a larger bench having minimum 5 or 8 judges under Practice and Procedure Act.
