ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi's personal efforts have borne fruit as a chartered plane has departed for Sri Lanka to facilitate the return of 56 Pakistani nationals who have been imprisoned there for several years.

Under the guidance of Minister Naqvi, the Ministry of Interior has been in contact with Sri Lankan authorities for the past three months regarding the repatriation of these prisoners.

Federal Privatization Minister Abdul Aleem Khan will cover all expenses associated with their return.

Minister Naqvi expressed gratitude to the Sri Lankan government and the High Commissioner for their cooperation in this matter, as well as thanking Minister Abdul Aleem Khan for bearing the costs of the prisoners' return.
