Nawaz Sharif postpones London trip amid constitutional amendment bill uncertainty

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif has deferred his trip to London mainly due to the unsettled fate of the recently proposed constitutional amendment bill so far.
Sources said the former premier was expected to leave for London this week. However, it emerged lately that he would now depart abroad – London and US – as soon as parliament passed the constitutional amendment package.
He would stay in London for medical check-up and after spending some days in United Kingdom he will leave for the United States.
Earlier, Nawaz Sharif was likely to depart for London from October 3-5.
It was added that the constitutional amendment would be presented in the parliament in the ongoing week.
