LAHORE (Dunya News) - The protest by visually-impaired advocating for their rights have entered the ninth day.

Clashes erupted between the police and protesters when the latter started marching towards the chief minister house.

On the other hand, DIG Operations Lahore, DC Lahore and other officers reached the spot.

The DIG said almost 10 police personnel have been injured in the clashes while mentioning the CM has directed clearly not to behave violently with the protestors.

Speaking on the occasion, one of the blind persons said, "Aren't we the citizens of Pakistan like everyone else?

“Our demands should be accepted and permanent jobs should be given," he said.
