JI leaders booked for violating Section 144 in Lahore

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) “Haq Do Awam Ko” movement has landed its leaders in legal trouble as Punjab police filed an FIR against them for staging a sit-in at Bhekhewala Mor in Lahore.
According to police, the FIR list nine party leaders including Ziauddin Ansari, Khalid Butt, Liaqat Baloch and Ahmad Salman Baloch.
The case has been registered at Iqbal Town Police on the complaint of sub-inspector Khalid Hussain.
The FIR states that the road blockade caused significant inconvenience to the public, and the Jamaat-e-Islami leaders have been charged with violating Section 144.
