RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – The Jamat-e-Islami (JI) sit-in at Liaqat Bagh Rawalpindi against inflation and expensive electricity entered sixth day.

The second round of dialogue between the government and JI is scheduled at 3pm today (Wednesday).

While addressing the protesters of sit-in, JI Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that it had become impossible for 98 percent of the population to pay electricity bills.

He reiterated that a family can either afford to educate his children or pay hefty electricity bills.

He announced that a sit-in will be staged in Karachi from today, whereas the announcement for a sit-in in Lahore will be made soon.

He also said that the business community stands with the JI and with their collaboration, wheel jam strikes will be held all over the country.
