CM Maryam seeks record of illegal housing schemes in maiden LDA visit

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Friday sought list of illegal housing societies being established in Lahore.
The chief minister visited Lahore Development Authority (LDA) headquarter on Friday where she was warmly welcomed by DG LDA Tahir Farooq.
The CM also chaired a meeting regarding the ongoing projects of LDA.
Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Zeeshan Malik, Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary to CM and other officials also attended the meeting.
DG LDA Tahir Farooq gave a detailed briefing to CM and said that the LDA would collect more revenue in the ongoing fiscal year. The online service is being started to pass the residential maps of the citizens.
It was also decided in the meeting to establish the Punjab Development Authority in the province.

The chief minister also sought the complete record of illegal housing societies in Lahore.
The beautification and remodeling of M.M.Alam road was also approved in the meeting.
It was also decided that a tram service would be started in Liberty, Main Market, Mini Market and Hali Road areas for the people of Lahore.
A signal-free corridor was also approved in the meeting from Karim Block to Motorway.
The chief minister also directed the officials to ensure early completion of sports complex in Minar-e-Pakistan and China Scheme.
