55pc citizens satisfied with first 100-day performance of Punjab govt: survey

(Web Desk) - As Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has completed 100 days of her government, a survey has released to track the level of the public's satisfaction on their government.

The survey has been conducted by Institute for Public Opinion Research (IPOR) which showed the majority of Punjab's residents now content with the performance of the provincial government.

A total of 2010 respondents took part in the survey - 65pc male and 35pc female – of which 60 percent belong to the rural areas and 40 percent to urban areas.

55 percent participants expressed confidence on the performance of the Punjab government with 35 percent expressing the view otherwise.

10 percent did not give any response.

Meanwhile, on the popularity of CM Maryam Nawaz, 60 percent expressed a positive response while 37 percent a negative opinion.

Regarding the government's decision to lessen the prices of daily use items, 53 percent have expressed satisfaction with 34 percent sharing a negative opinion while 13 percent expressing no opinion.
