Nurses protest for pay raise continues in different cities

The nurses continued their protest on Thursday for increase in salaries in several cities of Punjab

The nurses continued their protest in different cities including Lahore, Faisalabad and Rahim Yar Khan.The nurses in Lahore stopped work at indoor and outdoor of the government hospitals and protested in front of the press club. The nurses demanded the pay equal to doctors’ salary.In Faisalabad, the nurses from Allied Hospital, DHQ, Hospital, Cardiology Centre and General Hospital in Ghulam Muhammad Abad took out protest rally and staged a sit in.Meanwhile, nurses of Sheikh Zayed Hospital Rahim Yar Khan continued their protest for the fourth day and demanded raise in their salaries.Moreover, the lawyers also joined the protest in solidarity with the nurses.
