MQM writes to president, CJP against Mirza

MQM Co-ordination Committee has written a letter to Zardari and CJP, seeking action against Mirza.

Co-ordination Committee Deputy Convener Dr Farooq Sattar wrote a letter to President Asif Ali Zardari and Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, seeking action against Sindh former home minister Zulfiqar Mirza for levelling charges of hatching conspiracy against MQM chief Altaf Hussain to disintegrate the country.Farooq Sattar and Anees Ahmed Qaim Khani draw the attention of Zardari and Chaudhry against Mirza’ address terming it an attempt of linguistic clashes in Sindh. They said that Mirza had stated by putting Holy Quran over his head that Altaf Hussain had admitted, in the presence of Pir Mazahar Ulhaq during a meeting in London, that he was involved in a conspiracy against the country with the help of US. “But Altaf Husssain has never spoke of country’s dissolution”, they added.Both the leaders urged the president and CJP to take action against Zulfiqar Mirza for disseminating such statements.
