A resolution tabled in Punjab Assembly to penalize May 9 perpetrators

LAHORE (Dunya news) - A resolution has been tabled in Punjab Assembly on Saturday to penalize May 9 perpetrators on immediate basis.
Punjab Assembly member (MPA) of Istehkam e Pakistan Party (IPP), Shoaib Siddiqui submitted the resolution against May 9 perpetrators.
The resolution contented that mastermind, planners and executors of May 9 incident must be given harsh punishment.
Those involved in desecration of army installations, martyrs’ memorial and propaganda shouldn’t be forgiven.
Shoaib Siddiqi in the resolution implied that May 9 incident was tragic, unforgettable and dark chapter of history. Incident revealed the conspiracy against state, judiciary, state institutions, and state sovereignty, he added.
Elements involved in creating rift between state institutions and public and disturbing law and order must be brought to justice.
It was demanded in the resolution that to penalize those involved in Jinnah House attack and destruction in other cities on May 9.
Shoaib Siddiqi stressed that nation is standing behind Armed Forces of Pakistan for state sovereignty, security, economic development and sanctity of state institutions.
He asserted that Punjab Assembly House hopes that there will be no incident like May 9, 2023 in the future. Resolution declared the May 9 riots incident a planned conspiracy of violators.
