Says PTI set to file contempt plea against CDA for not unsealing building
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Omar Ayub asserted that the hybrid system had ruined the foundation of the state.
Speaking to media outside the Islamabad High Court (IHC), he announced that he would take up the FIA notices issue in parliament and court. He said he would file a contempt of court petition against the Capital Development Authority (CDA) for not unsealing the PTI secretariat in Islamabad despite IHC’s order.
He stated that the venue 'Rawat' assigned by the Islamabad administration for PTI’s public gathering was 30 kilometres away from Islamabad. He added the nain Srinagar Highway must be made available to the party for public gathering.
He once again highlighted the plight of PTI leaders Aliya Hamza and Sanam Javed in jail. He said the jail SP had expressed his inability to set the two women at liberty.
“Is it a banana republic? We do not accept this regime and this hybrid system is ruining the foundation of Pakistan,” he said.
