ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - American Ambassador Donald Blome has said it is high time for Pakistan to improve its economy, adding America wants opportunities to support Pakistan in its efforts for economic development.
Talking to journalists, Donald Blome said, “America is an important partner of Pakistan in terms of trade and investment. America is the biggest export market and investor for Pakistan.”
American firms bring high-quality investments to Pakistan, which is making short-term efforts to address its economic position.
Pakistan's initiatives include IMF agreements. We want to support its efforts for economic development, the American ambassador said.
“There has been a long and strong partnership with Pakistan to counter terrorism. I hope our partnership will continue to root out terrorism. We have many mutual goals, Donald Blome said.
Appreciating the efforts Pakistan’s security forces to defeat terrorists, the American envoy said that he was deeply saddened over the martyrdom of personnel of Pakistani security forces in fight against terrorism.
