London visit was private, returned on CMs call, says Sharjeel

Sharjeel Memon said he has nothing to do with Zulfiqar Mirzas anti-MQM campaign.

Talking to media at Karachi Airport on Thursday, Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon said that he had returned on a phone call from Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah.He said that he had nothing to do with Mirza’s anti-MQM campaign and his London visit was a pre-planned private tour, however, he could not inform the chief minister in this regard.Replying a question, he said that it was a coincident that he and Miraz travelled on a same plane. Memon said that Mirza had been running anti-MQM campaign in his personal capacity.The minister returned after the Muttahida Qaumi Movement squeezed Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) for his alleged cooperation with the defiant Zulfiqar Mirza in his campaign against MQM and its chief Altaf Hussain.Denying all allegations leveled by the MQM against him, the minister said he was accountable to only his party leadership.
