Sindh Assembly elects chief minister tomorrow

PPP fields Murad Ali Shah, MQM-P Ali Khurshidi
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Incoming Speaker of the Sindh Assembly Awais Qadir Shah has announced the schedule for the election of the Leader of the House.
The election for the coveted position of Sindh chief minister will take place on Monday (tomorrow).
The nomination papers from the candidates of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) have been submitted. Scrutiny of the nomination papers will be completed by six o'clock this evening.
The PPP has nominated Murad Ali Shah for the position of chief minister. PPP leaders Ghulam Qadir Chandio, Saleh Shah and Naeem Kharal submitted the nomination papers on behalf of Murad Ali Shah.
On the other hand, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan-P (MQM-P) is fielding Ali Khurshidi, who has submitted his nomination for the position of chief minister.
