PPP women candidates become victorious
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued a notification announcing the allocation of two women reserved seats in the Sindh Assembly.
The Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) has been alloted two seats, and the ECP has officially declared the victory of PPP candidates Sharmila Faruqui and Mudasar Sehar.
In a noteworthy development, Shahzia Murree and Nafisa Shah withdrew their names from the list of reserved seats after emerging victorious in the general seats.
The ECP has released the victory notification for independent candidate Khizar Hayat Mazari from PP-297 Rajanpur. Mazari secured the win with an impressive 39,535 votes, while the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) candidate, Sardar Dost Muhammad Khan, faced defeat with 31,731 votes.
