LAHORE (Dunya News) - The consultations between Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and its allies are underway to form a 25-member cabinet in the Punjab.

According to sources, there is a possibility of nominating members for ministry portfolios, with 20 ministers from the PML-N, and 2 members each from the People's Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q).

The Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) is expected to have only one minister in the cabinet.

Mariyyum Aurangzeb, Khawaja Salman Rafique, Khawaja Imran Nazir, Bilal Yaseen, and Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman are potential inclusions in the provincial cabinet. Other candidates under consideration include Muhammad Iqbal, Manshaallah Butt, and Uzma Bukhari.

The PML-N is also contemplating Sardar Sher Ali Gorchani, Kazim Ali Pirzada, Colonel (retd) Ayub Khan Gadhi, Malik Asif Bhaa, Akhtar Bosaal, Raheela Khadim Hussain, and Mian Yawar Zaman as membeers of the provincial cabinet.

Fida Hussain Watto, Tanveer Islam Malik, Malik Asad Khokhar, Farooq Ali Javed, and Sheikh Salman Naeem are also under consideration for the provincial cabinet.

There is a possibility of including PPP candidate Syed Ali Haider Gilani and Malik Ghazanfar Abbas Cheena from IPP in the provincial cabinet.

Meanwhile, Chaudhry Shafay Hussain from PML-Q may also be included in the cabinet.

Sources indicated that the first phase of the cabinet making will be completed after Maryam Nawaz takes office as the chief minister.
