ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Omar Ayub, a senior leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has accused the Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab of planning election rigging.
In a statment, he urged the authorities to set up an inquiry commission to probe the allegations levelled by the Rawalpindi commissioner. He has demande the release of Form-47, a document related to election results.
He criticised the inquiry committee set up by Mohsin Naqvi, stating that it was biased.
Ayub nominated for the office of prime minister by the PTI, emphasized the need for a fair investigation against those accused by the commissioner. He insisted that the accused individuals must present their stance in the inquiry.
Commissioner Liaquat Ali Chattha resigned a day ago, claiming that the elections held on February 8 in Rawalpindi sivision were manipulated and rigged.

Ayub highlighted the significant influence that commissioners possess in potentially altering results according to their preferences.
He alleged that the mandate of PTI-backed candidates was stolen through.
The PTI leader asserted that the party would form government.
