Senate adopts unanimous condolence resolution

The Senate has adopted unanimous condolence resolution, paying rich tribute to Begum Nusrat Bhutto.

The Senate while paying rich tribute to Begum Nusrat Bhutto for rendering commendable services for cause of democracy has adopted condolence resolution unanimously. Senator Nayyar Hussain Bukhari said Begum Nusrat Bhutto’s services will be lauded whenever name of democracy will be mentioned.Senator Sabir Baloch said the policy of reconciliation being pursued by President Asif Ali Zardari was founded by Begum Nusrat Bhutto. Senator Raja Zafar ul Haq said several people supported dictators and it was all a history. We are starting a new future, therefore, past should not be discussed. Senator Babar Awan said Nusrat Bhutto was one of founders of 1973 Constitution and she waged long struggle for protection of woman rights. Col (r) Tahir Mashahdi of MQM said services rendered by Begum Nusrat Bhutto were unforgettable.
