PML (Likeminded) announced manifesto titled Roadmap to Pakistans Recovery.

The manifesto covers 25 areas to be tackled, including security, justice, education, health and youth.A number of solutions have been proposed in education and health sectors. Employment to one member of each family of Pakistan, both rural as well as urban, was guaranteed in the manifesto. Minimum wages have been proposed for rural labourers in addition to urban wagers.Addressing the programme, PML (LM) President Senator Salim Saif Ullah Khan along with other leaders Humayun Akhtar Khan, Kashmala Tariq, former foreign minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri said that the country was facing challenges and needed sincere leadership and established plan to meet them.They said that terrorism has reached a point where it poses a direct, long term, existential threat to Pakistan. They proposed that causes of extremism in society should be addressed. They said that stability in the region is imperative for security and economic development.They said that double standard on the nuclear issue will not be accepted. They proposed that term of the National Assembly to be reduced to 4 years and a new category of technocrats is to be added to the list of reserved seats in the National and Provincial Assemblies to improve capacity of political parties to govern.The manifesto also covers women rights, security of minorities, economic issues, media freedom, justice, youth, terrorism, energy, water, foreign policy, constitutional reforms and good governance.The creation of additional provinces in Pakistan has been supported and constitutional reforms proposed to simplify the process for the new provinces. They rejected reliance on IMF and presented a programme to stop corruption.
