LAHORE (Dunya News) – An accountability court of Lahore on Tuesday sought more help on pleas filed by former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif and others for their exoneration in Ashiana reference.

Accountability court conducted hearing of the reference against Shehbaz Sharif and others on Tuesday. The court remarked that the Supreme Court had barred the accountability court from issuing any final ruling. Lawyers of the accused said they would produce a copy of the apex court’s order thereby clearing the matter.

The NAB lawyer said the case had been heard on merit and the Supreme Court’s decision could not affect the case. The judge said that court was bound to comply with the Supreme Court’s order. The court, seeking copy of the apex court’s order, adjourned the hearing for a short time.

The accountability court had to announce the ruling in Ashiana case today. The decision was reserved on Novermber 1 by the court.
