Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif received a 3-member Lankan medical team at airport.
The Sri Lanka team has come to help in eradication of dengue virus.Dr Palihawadana Paba is leading the delegation. Provincial Minister Mian Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman, Members Provincial Assembly and senior officers were also present on the occasion.Shahbaz Sharif, talking on the occasion, said that he is thankful to Sri Lankan President, government and the people who have again sent a medical team for cooperation in the campaign against dengue virus in this hour of trial.He said that the first Sri Lankan team provided awareness to our doctors and paramedical staff regarding dengue and treatment of dengue fever patients and with their assistance, High Dependency Units were set up for the elimination of dengue virus.The head of Sri Lankan medical team, Dr. Palihawadana Paba said that Pakistan is a friendly country and service to the people of Punjab in this hour of distress is an honour for them. She said that her team will provide all possible cooperation in eradication of dengue virus.
