IHC to decide bail applications of PTI chairman today

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) will announce its decision on the bail applications of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chairman today.
Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri will announce the verdict. The sessions court and anti-terrorism court had previously rejected bail applications as they were not properly followed.

In the petitions, the Tehreek-e-Insaaf chief filed through counsels, it was requested that the nine pending bail applications be considered by the respective courts. It also urged the court to prevent arrests in these nine cases until the final decisions are made.
Among the cases registered against the former prime minister, three are related to May 9, three are connected to protests in Islamabad, one each of Toshakhana, violation of Article 144, and murder attempt.
