ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Islamabad High Court on Friday suspended FIA’s call up notice to PTI chairman's wife Bushra Bibi in audio leaks investigation.
Justice Babar Sattar of the Islamabad High Court heard Bushra Bibi's petition against audio leaks summons. Advocate Sardar Latif Khan Khosa appeared in the court on behalf of Bushra Bibi.
During the hearing, Khosa said that due to pending case in court, if the FIA continued its investigation process, it would affect the rights of the petitioner. The FIA said it wanted Bushra Bibi to cooperate with the agency for a voice-matching test.
Justice Sattar inquired as to why and with what the FIA wanted to do voice-matching. Khosa said they had been informed by the SSP that the FIA had to do voice matching.
Bushra had been summoned for voice matching today (Friday) at 12 o'clock. The court suspended the summons issued by the FIA to Bushra Bibi and asked the parties to attend court for arguments next week.
On the other hand, in audio leaks case, the Islamabad High Court had declared the written response submitted by the Ministry of Interior and the PTA unsatisfactory and ordered them to re-submit a detailed response.
