LAHORE (Dunya News) - A flag-hoisting ceremony was held at Liberty Market in connection with the Independence Day celebrations.
The event was organised in collaboration with the Central Business District (CBD) and local government department.
Assistant Commissioner Model Town Sahibzada Muhammad Yousaf, CBD Punjab’s director marketing Wasim Siddique, director technical Asif Iqbal and other officials also graced the ceremony.
The length of flag was 75 feet and its width was 50 feet.
Speaking on the occasion, AC Model Town Sahibzada Yousaf said that such ceremonies are organised to further enhance the sense of patriotism among the people. He added that fireworks would also be held at various points of Lahore today.
CBD’s director marketing Wasim Siddique said that they couldn’t hoist a much bigger flag due to the short time for preparations.
Director Technical Asif Iqbal said that the firework will remain continue for 15 minutes on the eve of Independence Day.
