Karachi: Peoples Peace Committee banned

Sindh Home Department has banned Peoples Aman (Peace) Committee, ordering closure of its offices.

According to sources, the ban has been imposed under Section 11(b) of the relevant act. The sources said that the Sindh police have also been informed about the decision.Now the committee will not be able to carry out its political or any other activities. The committee has been a source of contention between the PPP and the MQM, with the latter calling the committee a terrorist organisation. The decision comes less than a week after both parties ending their differences.
