Parents express gratitude for Pakistan Army for their services
BADIN (Dunya News) – In an unusual incident, parents of a newborn at a relief camp established by the Pakistan Army for the victims of cyclone Biparjoy in Badin have named their child as Asim Munir.
The child born during the stormy weather at the relief camp established by the army has brought joy to the parents. The birth of a child at Shaheed Lakha Dino Army Public School made the victims forget the hardships of the stormy weather at the camp.
The parents, expressing their gratitude for the army for their services, named their infant after Chief of Army Staff Gen Asim Munir.
Pakistan Army officers said all possible help would be provided to the victims to protect them from the harsh weather conditions and they would continue playing their role to bring happiness to their faces.
Tens of thousands of people were evacuated to safer places by the Sindh government and Pakistan Army amid fears of cyclone Biparjoy. It made a landfall between Keti Bandar (Southeast Sindh Coastline) and the Indian Gujarat Coastline on Thursday.
Sindh minister Sharjeel Memon said 13,000 people were evacuated from Keti Bandar, 5,000 from Ghora Bari, 11,560 from Shaheed Fazil Raho, 8,500 from Sajawal, 8,160 from Jati and 4,871 persons from Kharo Chan to safe places.
