LAHORE (Dunya News) – June 17, 2023 marks the third death anniversary of renowned radio and television anchor Tariq Aziz.
His fans commemorate the fond memories of the showbiz personality who worked for the PTV in its heydey.
Aziz started his career with Radio Pakistan in the 1960s and later emerged as Pakistan's first television host. His programme Neelam Ghar started in 1974 and continued for four decades. Aziz was unparalleled in his craft and that's why the programme Neelam Ghar was later named after him as "Tariq Aziz Show".
He also appeared on the silver screen. His famous films included Insaniyat, Haar gaya insan, Saalgirah, Kasam iss waqt ki and Chirag kahan roshni kahan.
Tariq Aziz was awarded with many honours including the Pride of Performance.
He was born in Jalandhar in 1936 and passed away on June 17, 2020 at the age of 84. May his soul rest in peace!
