Initial investigation reveals cylinder blast in the house
KOT ADDU (Dunya News) – Six members of a family were killed and three others injured when a gas cylinder blast tore apart a house at Daira Din Panah – a small town located near Kota Addu in Muzaffargarh district.
It is reported that scrap and other waste material were being sorted out on the premises and some unknown object had caused the blast.
Two of the victims were women who have been identified as Haseena Mai, 40, and Shano Mai, 28 while four-year-old girl Sadia Bibi also died in the tragic incident. The remaining two were Bilal, 38, and Iqbal, 30.
Police and rescue workers reached the spot soon after receiving the information. As the bodies and the wounded persons were shifted to a hospital, the law enforcers started investigating the matter.
On the other hand, the Punjab caretaker chief minister expressed his sorrow over the loss of lives in a tragic manner and ordered the provincial police chief to submit a detailed report on the issue.
