Rashid takes swipe at PDM

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid on Sunday reiterated his determination to stand firmly with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.

In a video statement, Mr Rashid said, "I am not a coward and know how to maintain friendship. I will continue to speak the truth." Speaking about the May 9 vandalism, Mr Rashid said, "Despite not present in the country, during the time when the events that transpired on May 9, I condemned the violence.”

He criticised the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), saying, "Just as PDM resorted to political vendetta, it [PDM] will also face the consequences."

Regarding PTI's exodus, Mr Rashid said, "Those who are leaving PTI are probably vulnerable and are under pressure because of possible cases against them."

"For the past 20 days, the police have been continuously raiding the houses of my siblings, nephews, and mother [who died 30 years ago]. Even my mother's house has been damaged," he lamented.
