Ahsan Iqbal accuses Imran Khan of 'plundering' Rs60bn

NAROWAL (Dunya News) – Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal on Monday criticised the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), claiming that people always proved that Narowal belongs to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

Addressing a public gathering, Mr Iqbal took a jibe at PTI chief Imran Khan, saying, "The court has dismissed the case in which Imran called me a looter. During Imran's tenure, we were facing bogus cases. Imran Khan has plundered Rs60billion from the national wealth".

Mr Iqbal claimed, "After facing defeat from Narowal, the PTI stopped the development projects of Narowal. "Because of the PTI regime, development projects have not been completed," lamented Mr Iqbal.

On Sunday, Mr Iqbal said the miscreants involved in the May 9 destruction did not deserve any concession.
Mr Iqbal said evidence-based legal proceedings would be initiated against those involved in acts of violence on May 9. He was speaking to a private news channel.

He said no new military court would be created for the trial of those who carried out attacks on military installations. He said no one responsible for the heinous acts would go scot-free.

Those who caused destruction in civil areas would be prosecuted under civil law, while those who attacked military installations would be tried under the Army Act. He said no democracy in the world allowed terrorism and chaos.

He said the law-enforcement agencies had gathered evidence to track down those involved in the May 9 vandalism. He maintained that the May 9 violence could not be categorised as a political protest in any country under any circumstance.
