Only elections can take country out of quagmire: Shafqat Mahmood
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Shafqat Mahmood claimed on Monday that those who failed to handle pressure and not awarded tickets were jumping ship.
Speaking to media, the former federal minister said that he was not aware of Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain's separation from the party.
Referring to the situation in the country, Mr Mahmood said that the country was facing severe economic difficulties. He reiterated that only elections could take the country out of the quagmire, adding that there was a dire need to discuss the date of elections.
Mr Mahmood said, "The PTI is ready to negotiate with the opposition regarding the elections".
