PHC Bar election: Grand Alliance’s Tariq Afridi elected as president
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Tariq Afridi of the ‘Grand Alliance’ was on Saturday elected as Peshawar High Court Bar Association president.
Mr Afridi grabbed 985 votes, Taif Khan of Insaf Lawyers Forum took 740 votes and Rehmanullah advocate of Malgary Wakilan took 570 votes.
Meanwhile, Malgari Wakilan’s Sawar Khan took 1109 and got the post of vice-presidenrt and Akhtar Ilyas of Grand Alliance got 1108 votes.
Grand Alliance’s Lajbar Khan was nominated as general secretary with 925 votes and Babar Khan Yousafzai of Malgary Wakilan was at the second spot with 726 votes.
The seat of finance secretary belonged to Malgary Wakilan with Nida Khan taking 1157 votes and Wahid Khan Khalil of Grand Alliance took 1115 votes.
On the post of joint secretary, Noor Wali Khan of Grand Alliance took 872 votes and became successful and Zulfiqar Ali of Mlagary Wakilan got 743 votes.
Fawad Afzal Khan and Fida Muhammad Khan were elected library secretary and press secretary respectively.
