PTI to submit new petition to SC over KPK elections

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) announced that it would be submitting a new petition to the Supreme Court of Pakistan regarding elections in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The decision was made on Tuesday as confirmed by PTI spokesperson Shaukat Yousafzai.

The party alleges that Governor Ghulam Ali had initially set the date for the elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for May 28. However, without any explanation, the date was later changed to October.

Mr Yousafzai stated that the party leaders were consulting with lawyers regarding the new petition, which would request the Supreme Court to order the elections to be held on May 28 as originally planned.
