China sends flood aid supplies to Pakistan

China's first batch of aid to the flood-stricken people is due to arrive in Pakistan on Friday.

Four planes carrying Chinas first batch of humanitarian aid supplies to the flood-stricken Pakistan is due to arrive at Pakistani southern city of Karachi at 7:30 a.m. Friday.The planes took off from Nanjing, capital city of east Chinas Jiangsu Province at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, carrying 3,000 much needed tents to Pakistans flood-ravaged southern regions.The second batch of aid supplies, another 4,000 tents, is scheduled to be sent from Beijing on Saturday.
