Split-up polls cannot be held at Imran's will: Attaullah Tarar

Tarar stresses need for holding simultaneous elections

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Attaullah Tarar slammed on Tuesday Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, saying the split-up polls could not be held at the latter’s will.

Speaking to media, Mr Tarar was of the view the simultaneous elections should be held in the country, adding the elections should be happened at any cost.

He reiterated that full court should be constituted in connection with the holding of elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, adding with the constitution of the full court, the credibility of the Supreme Court would be restored.

Speaking about the elections, Mr Tarar said the country was having no money in a bid to hold split-up polls, adding the assembly should complete its tenure.

Launching a broadside at PTI senior leader Fawad Chaudhry, Mr Tarar said, “Fawad Chaudhry falls prey to phobia of PML-N senior vice president Maryam Nawaz”.
