Siraj sees rule of law as vital for country's prosperity
Siraj stresses need for utilising natural resources
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) emir Sirajul Haq underscored on Tuesday the significance of rule of law, saying only the rule of law and system of justice could pave the way for the country to witness prosperity.
Speaking to media in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr Haq lamented, "In our country, the rule of law and justice is merely limited to the books."
Recounting the natural resources of the country, Mr Haq said, "There is no need to rely on foreign aid, if the country’s resources will be utilised.
Drawing a line of demarcation between the politicians of the country and the US president, Mr. Haq said, "It was for about the 13 hours that the police raided the house of the US president. But in this country, this has not been the case."
Mr Haq also expressed his reservations over the poverty, adding that corruption and mismanagement were the root cause of all the problems.
