In reference to the Punjab chief minister, Sibtain Khan stated, "Chaudhry Parvez Elahi entrusted all the authority to PTI Chairman Imran Khan”. Lashing out at the political opponents, the PA speaker said, “The opposition was causing uproar about 186 members for three days. When we had reached 186, they asked to stop the process of voting."

The consultative meeting to discuss the political situation in the province was presided over by Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi who was joined by Speaker Sibtain Khan, Raja Basharat and MNA Chaudhry Hussain Elahi.

Sharing his thoughts on the occasion, the Punjab chief minister was of the view that the governor haf favored the opinion of the PTI and PML-Q by withdrawing a denotification order.

CM Elahi slammed Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, saying he [Rana] was diverting the attention of the masses by misinterpreting the court’s ruling.

The Punjab chief minister also expressed his gratitude to Allah Almighty for successful strategy in vote of confidence.
Lambasting the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), CM Elahi said, "The negative politics of the PML-N have been rejected in Punjab."

Meanwhile, Punjab Minister Raja Basharat said the governor withdrew a denotification order by accepting the legal importance of the vote of confidence.
