CDA court grants Barrister Saif bail

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A Capital Development Authority (CDA) court on Wednesday suspended the arrest warrants issued for Barrister Saif against violating the CDA regulations.

Mr Saif had got bail from the Peshawar High Court (PHC) two days earlier, which asked him to appear before the CDA court without getting arrested.

Senior Special Magistrate Sardar Muhammad Asif heard the plea. The court approved his bail against surety bonds worth Rs100 million and ordered him to reappear before the court on Jan 30. The court remarked that Mr Saif would be penalised on the next hearing.

The magistrate said it was the court’s responsibility to serve justice and Mr Saif replied he had full trust in court. The court further remarked that the arrest warrants were issued over Mr Saif’s non-appearance in court, adding the court believed in delivering impartial verdicts.

Earlier, Mr Saif had been ordered by the CDA court to appear but his non-compliance led the court to issue arrest warrants for him.
