PFA hints at imposing ban on unpacked milk in Lahore
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Director General (DG) Mudassar Riaz Malik on Monday hinted at the ban on the sale of unpacked milk in Lahore, as it is a huge issue to find pure and hygienic milk in the city.
Mr Mudassar said “In the year 2023 they assure to make the supply of unpacked milk traceable, and the ban will be imposed in several phases starting from some major areas in Lahore.”
The DG further said that regarding the sale of unpacked milk, negotiations with the dairy farmer’s association and the rest of the stakeholders were in progress. This way it would get easier to check the quality of packed milk, he added.
