Four terrorists killed, soldier martyred in Bannu gun battle
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Security forces on Saturday gunned down four terrorists, while a soldier also embraced martyrdom in gun battle with the terrorists in in the general area of Jani Khel, Bannu.
In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the general area of Jani Khel, Bannu.
During the operation, there was a fierce exchange of fire between the security forces and the terrorists. The security forces fought bravely and engaged the terrorist’s location effectively, killing four terrorists. Arms and ammunition have also been recovered from the possession of dead terrorists.
The slain terrorists were involved in terrorist activities against security forces and killings of innocent civilians.
However, during the fierce exchange of fire, Sepoy Mohammad Waseem (25), resident of Khairpur, fought bravely and embraced martyrdom.
The area is being cleaned to eliminate other terrorists found in the area.
