Met office predicts cold, dry weather in most parts of the country

Met office said foggy conditions are likely to persist over plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast cold and dry weather in most parts of the country during next 24 hours while very cold in northern areas and north Balochistan.

According to the Met office, continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country.

Met office said foggy conditions are likely to persist over plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during night and morning hours. Frost is likely to occur at isolated places in Pothohar region during morning hours.

Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country during last 24 hours, while very cold in Gilgit-Baltistan and north Balochistan during night and morning hours. Foggy conditions prevailed over few areas of Punjab.

The lowest minimum temperatures recorded were Leh -10°C, Skardu -09°C, Ziarat, Gupis -06°C, Astore -05°C, Gilgit, Hunza -04°C, Parachinar, Kalat & Kalam -03°C.
