PM Shehbaz vows to prioritise reduction in circular debt

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Wednesday bringing down the circular debt was his government’s foremost focus.

He also stated that the ruling dispensation had to burn the midnight oil for providing stability to the country’s economy.

Highlighting the need to increase the power production for the domestic consumers, the PM went on to say the continuous reliance on expensive fuel put severe pressure on the ordinary people, and efforts would be made for reducing dependence on it.

Underlining the issues related to the field of IT, PM Shehbaz said presently, the IT exports made value of only $2bn, which can be easily increased up to $5bn.

In the session, the premier issued directions to the economic team and various steps were underscored to control the current account deficit.
