PM Shehbaz greets Maryam over her acquittal in Avenfield reference
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday congratulated and hugged Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz on her acquittal in Avenfield reference
During the meeting, the Prime Minister said, “Allah has shown great kindness and honor. My leader Nawaz Sharif will also be released soon by the grace of Allah”. He further said that the requirements of justice should be fulfilled on the testimony of late Judge Arshad Malik regarding Nawaz Sharif. A dark era of political vendetta is over today, he added.
Shehbaz Sharif said that Maryam Nawaz and (retd) Captain Safdar faced the most difficult situations with courage, patience and determination. While saying that today’s court decision destroys all edifices of lies, slander and defamation, the premier went on to say that Maryam’s acquittal is a slap in the face of the political vendetta by which the Sharif family was targeted.
