Soldier killed, five injured in two hits in Waziristan

A soldier was killed and five were injured in two incidents in North and South Waziristan.

Official sources said militants attacked a checkpost in tehsil Ladha of South Waziristan, killing one security official Jameel. Two attackers were killed and five injured in the retaliatory fire by security forces.Separately, five security officials were injured in a remote-controlled blast targeting their convoy in Kutabkhel area of Miran Shah, North Waziristan. The injured were shifted to Miran Shah Hospital.On Friday, a suicide bomber blew himself up at a mosque in Jamrud area of the tribal region, killing 48 worshippers.
