Punjab govt issues strict COVID-19 SOPs to prevent coronavirus

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Following to prevent the fourth wave of coronavirus (COVID-19) Delta and Epsilon strains, the Punjab government on Tuesday issued a letter of lockdown orders from August 3 to 31 related to the strict COVID SOPs.

According to the directives of the provincial government, all business centers will be closed till 8:00pm from today. It also said that all business activities will be suspended on Saturday and Sunday (two days a week).

Indoor dining has been completely banned, however, outdoor dining will be allowed till 10:00pm under strict SOPs, while indoor wedding ceremonies will be banned in Lahore from August 8. Outdoor events will be allowed until 10:00 pm with a capacity of 400 people.

All government and private offices can work with 50 per cent staff; however, all shrines will be completely banned and all cinemas will be completely closed.

On the other hand, the district administration and the police will work together to ensure the implementation of these SOPs.
