Pakistan reports 1,194 coronavirus cases, 57 deaths in 24 hours

Pakistan has so far conducted 13,781,668 coronavirus tests

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 57 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 939,931. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 21,633 on Saturday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 1,194 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths and cases followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 10,479 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 5,220 in Sindh, 4,203 in KP, 769 in Islamabad, 562 in Azad Kashmir, 292 in Balochistan, and 108 in GB.

Furthermore 343,703 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 327,021 in Sindh, 135,569 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 82,065 in Islamabad, 26,152 in Balochistan, 19,723 in Azad Kashmir and 5,698 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 13,781,668 coronavirus tests and 35,695 in the last 24 hours. 875,581 patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,760 patients are in critical condition.
