Will not allow terrorists to sabotage peace efforts: COAS

General Qamar Javed Bajwa was on a visit to Corps HQ Quetta

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that terrorists will not be allowed to disturb the peace in Pakistan and that all possible cooperation should be extended to the Balochistan government for the establishment of peace.

According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief said this while addressing officers and soldiers on the occasion of his visit to Corps Headquarters Quetta.

The Chief of Army Staff was briefed on border management, operational readiness, security situation, fencing of Pak-Afghan and Pak-Iran borders and projects in Balochistan being developed with the cooperation of Pakistan Army.

According to ISPR, General Qamar Javed Bajwa was also briefed on capacity enhancement of law enforcement agencies for peace and stability in Balochistan. The Army Chief appreciated the high morale and dedication of the officers and soldiers of Pak Army.

In his address, General Bajwa said that the Pakistan Army would continue to extend all possible cooperation for lasting social and economic development in Balochistan.

“All possible cooperation should be extended to the provincial government for the establishment of law and order in the province. Terrorists will not be allowed to sabotage peace efforts”, said the COAS.
