Peshawar: Police baton charge teachers protesting against pay cuts

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Police personnel on Monday have resorted to baton-charge and fired tear gas shells to disperse the teachers, who were protesting against pay cuts, for marching towards the provincial assembly in Peshawar.



According to details, the security officials have arrested eight protesters.



The teachers have demanded the concerned authorities to withdraw the decision of deducting their allowances and said that they have already suffered a lot because of the coronavirus lockdown and now these cuts will further cause problems.
